We Really Dig Our Garden
It continues to be a busy spring as we spruce up the porches with a new coat of paint and arrange the outdoor furniture to complement the beautiful flowers that Peter has been planting. We are making great strides with our ‘to do’ list of what needs done before reopening on June 1st (after a long COVID-19 hiatus). It seems like there is always something that needs fixed, replaced, tweaked …. and if there isn’t, well, we tend to start a new project.
One of our newest endeavors is our garden. We’ve planted two garden boxes full of tasty vegetables that we plan (with lots of TLC) to share with our guests. So whether it’s an omelet at breakfast, a spinach salad at lunch or a tasty side dish for dinner, we hope to share some of the bounty. We’ve planted beans, spinach, swiss chard, tomatoes, peppers, onions and butternut squash. We also have pots full of herbs, like basil, mint and parsley. We will keep you posted on its progress via Facebook, so be sure to check in with us often.
